I started studying the basic cycle of plastic arts in 2017, with some classmates who are even in this class, such as Maria José Segovia, Paulo Ravanal and Tania Salinas. The basic cycle of plastic arts was an alternative admission method to the PSU to be able to enter the Bachelor of Arts career. To apply you had to take a drawing test and an interview with some teachers. I was so nervous that I even forgot to bring paint brushes to the drawing test and Maria José lent me some. This lasted 2 years before entering undergrad and we had 4 subjects per semester:
He drew
Color
Volume
History of art
Not many comrades continued, currently a small fraction of those who started this process remain.
I am currently in the third year of visual arts, the name of the career changed and I had to continue my studies with other subjects because I froze the year 2020 and when I returned to university I could no longer continue in Fine Arts and I had to continue in Fine Arts. Visuals, for that reason I lost the free benefit, which allowed me to study without worrying about paying tuition and fees, now I am a bit complicated with that subject but I do not intend to abandon this beautiful career that inspires me. I also really like the atmosphere of the visual arts faculty, it is a place where one can project personal tastes, interests and passions when creating works and planning projects.
I have always really liked the arts building, it is simple, which makes it very homely and that makes me feel comfortable. It reminds me a lot of the cites that are in the center of Santiago or an old school of those that are in the south, also that beautiful park with grass and trees is a place where I have had a great time sharing with my friends.
As I said before, this degree at this university allows you to create quite freely, especially in recent years. In the first years the teaching is attached to the traditional methods of drawing, painting and sculpture, which many do not like but I think it is essential to be able to have all the skills that are needed in the third, fourth and fifth year.

How sweet it will be to remember these times in the future, regards Carlos
